The future is now.

I curse house chores. I never wanted to do anything at home except stay in my bedroom and fend for myself. It's not only selfish, it's something I thought was okay because everyone else does it. Yeah, awful thought. In the span of two months, I had to learn to change my ways. Forced by the circumstances of not having a maid and not having a "full-time" mother, I reluctantly did what my hands can do. So far, it did change me. For better as always. I have equally adapted the qualms of a normal caring mother and have learned to turn these into better solutions. I've learned that the limits that I set upon myself were not exactly where it should be. I learned the efficacy of forcing yourself to do something because you have to. It's time I also learn to trust myself more. To give myself credit for the things I can actually do. Maybe the same goes for all of us. We wouldn't know how strong we are if we've never been weak. We wouldn't know how much we can do without trying the things we don't normally do. Sometimes, nature will force you to breakaway. But I suggest a keener foresight rather than waiting for nature to take its course. I suggest doing it before nature tells you to do so. We all probably have those moments where we don't really feel comfortable of doing something but doing it anyway for the sake of others' sake. While they say that humans are naturally compassionate, maybe it's also a part of human nature to be self-centered and it takes effort to go beyond selfish needs and wants. It takes effort but it pays off. You'll see.

I've had two fantastic months that I'd never dare forget. These past two months were not only so drastic but were also the best teachers. Looking forward to my supposed last year in College as an Undergraduate student (because I'm planning to come back? Haha!) I don't really feel like graduating or whatsoever, I only know that I will be eaten alive once again just like the Arena in The Hunger Games.
